ABOUT 2ND CHANCE FOR PETS

2nd Chance for Pets focuses on reducing the number of pets euthanized throughout the United States due to the death or disability of their human companions.

2nd Chance 4 Pets is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. They work to provide pet guardians, veterinarians, and members of animal care organizations with information and lifetime care solutions for companion animals.

2nd Chance emphasizes that thousands of animals are surrendered and euthanized each year because of this long, unrecognized issue. Despite this tragic occurrence, 2nd Chance shares that they have received a wonderful response from pet guardians, animal rescue groups, shelters, hospices, and veterinarians, and thus are convinced their programs are having a significant positive impact.

2nd Chance for Pets has participated in numerous public workshops, local meetings and other conferences regarding this important issue. They also provide emergency ID cards for pet guardians to fill out and carry. The cards contain emergency contact information, medication info and more. Contact 2nd Chance to receive your ID card.
