FROM THE MERIDEN HUMANE SOCIETY...

"We are a not-for-profit no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility. Many of our animals are taken from high risk situations such as kill pounds, cruelty investigations, and private residents who can no longer care for their animals. Our organization is privately run and is supported solely on donations from the public. In 2007, with your help, we placed 191 dogs and 863 cats. From all of us here at M.H.S. we thank you for your continued support for our animals."

Shelter Hours:

• Wednesday through Sunday: 12pm-6pm
• Closed to the public Monday and Tuesday, but lobby is always open for donation drop offs or to pick up information. Hours are subject to change due to fundraisers, weather and staffing.
