ABOUT R.O.A.R. - Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue
The ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter opened in 2005 and was named for the Donofrio family in recognition of their generous support.
R.O.A.R. treats their shelter animals as they would their own. Volunteers, business partners, local veterinarians and staff all help ensure that every rescued animal receives the same medical care, nutrition, exercise, attention and love a family companion animal would receive. All are spayed and neutered (or given a certificate for the procedure if too young) before leaving the shelter.
ROAR's wish list for dog items includes items such as:
- Leashes (leather)
- Frontline Plus (all sizes – see your vet)
- Heartgard (all sizes – see your vet)
- Collars for puppies
- Dog toys (Kong / rope/balls)
- Rawhide (medium size strips etc)
- Treats (“Charlie Bears” or other small kibbles for training)
- Canned chicken
- Extra large garbage bags
- Disinfectant wipes)
- Paper towels
- Stamps
