ABOUT TEXAS TAILWAGGERS

Texas Tailwaggers adopts to loving homes in reasonable driving distance from the North Dallas Metroplex area.

Texas Tailwaggers is a foster parent based organization. All animals under their care are placed in temporary homes until they can find a permanent home. Because of this setup, Texas Tailwaggers depends on caring individuals willing to look after and socialize animals before they are adopted. The fewer foster homes, the less likely an animal can be saved, and vice versa. Everything the dog or cat needs is provided by Texas Tailwaggers - there is no expense for the foster parents. Foster parents are mentored by a foster volunteer, who will guide them if they have problems or questions.

Foster programs give animals a chance to live in a comfortable situation while awaiting a permanent home. It also facilitates socialization and training opportunities for the animal. When adopting an animal from an organization such as Texas Tailwaggers, you are more likely to take home a social, trained animal.
